Ancient house from 1829, this vacation rental is fully independent and unoverlooked, fully renovated by our work respecting local traditions (wood and granite), you’ll feel immediately like at home.
We took to heart to make alive again these walls while conserving the house’s history and soul.
From the big terrace which overlooks on a shaded garden with a fountain, you will have a clear and stunning view on the countryside, calm and tranquility assured.

Discover Cantal and surroundings
The Cantal : land of contrasts, of big authentic spaces, sometimes savages, of hills and valleys, lakes and rivers, appears before your eyes.
Walkers, take your trekking poles, in nature respect, to discover our hiking trails, including one starting at the base of the gite.
You’ll discover, according to the routes diverse landscapes, all different and a nature still preserved.
The Lafontbasse gite, still in Auvergne but close to Quercy and Rouergue, is located at the crossroads of exceptional places like Salers, the Puy Mary, Le Lioran, Conques, Figeac, Padirac, Rocamadour or closer the medieval villages of Marcolès, Maurs or Laroquebrou.
You will appreciate the Saint-Etienne Cantalès lake for its attractions, the beach or fishing, the numerous hiking trails including one at the base of the gite, the Lissartel Karting, the castle visits, the Veinazès museum and the Jordanne and the Lot valleys.
Cultural visits will not be forgotten with the discovering of the architectural, folkloric and gastronomic heritage of the Cantal but also the Lot and Aveyron’s ones, very close. You will profit from our nice autumns to discover our understories treasures.
What to find in the cottage ?
The large basement will allow you to store trekking poles, walking shoes and clothes before taking some time under the tall lime. A collection of the most beautiful local hiking trails is at your disposition.
Large gite designed for receiving families.
On the ground floor : large living-room with closed fireplace, open kitchen fully equipped (dishwasher, oven, microwave, coffee machine, toaster…), 1 large bedroom (140 cm bed), 1 large bathroom with walk-in handicap equipped shower, independent toilets, reading corner and one playroom.
Upstairs : 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 independent toilet and 1 documentation corner.
A large basement with a washing machine allows to store shoes, clothes and other stuff.
Outside : terrace with clear view on the countryside and the shaded garden, carport, sandbox, garden furniture, barbecue, umbrella…
